Gin Clandestino 50cl is a spirit inspired by the so-called "Bathtub gins" of the Prohibition era, when gin was produced artisanally and often clandestinely in secret bars known as speakeasies. This historic homage is reflected both in the stylistic approach and in the production method, which is based on "cold compounding": a technique that involves the cold infusion of select botanicals in a particularly smooth grain alcohol, diluted with spring water. The result is an aromatic and complex gin, with a resinous and dry aroma, dominated by spicy notes of coriander and the balsamic, citrus, and floral nuances of cardamom, sweet calamus, and angelica root, which acts as a harmonizing element. The intense flavor structure makes this gin suitable for both mixing and enjoying neat.
