BARON DAUVERGNE

View as

The history of Maison Baron Dauvergne began in 1923 in Bouzy, a Grand Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, with Hubert Fernand Dauvergne Baron. In 1927, he contributed to the creation of the first Champagne wine cooperative, "Defynlieu".

Subsequently, Michel Dauvergne and Madeleine Baron founded their own Champagne brand, expanding the property in 1945. In 1975, their son Hubert devoted himself exclusively to viticulture, while in the 1980s his wife Eliane introduced the Cuvée “Fine Fleur”, characterised by a bottle decorated with daisies, today the symbol of the House.

In 2005, his grandson Vincent took over the management of the company and, in 2011, created the "Baron Dauvergne" brand, paying homage to the family tradition and consolidating the Maison's prestige in Champagne.
