BERRITTA

View as

The Berritta family has been handing down the cultivation of vines and olives for generations. Today they manage about ten hectares of vineyards, flanked by three hectares of olive groves, whose harvest is intended for family consumption.

The land is located in the countryside of Dorgali, in the picturesque valley of Oddoene. This valley, once a symbol of the post-war economic rebirth, enjoys a privileged position, not far from the sea. The soils, composed of crumbling granite mixed with limestone, together with the unique microclimate, create ideal conditions for growing vines.

Cannonau represents 75% of the cultivated vines, finding its natural and ideal environment in the valleys of Dorgali. The vines are grown with traditional methods and agronomic practices oriented towards organic production, in full respect of the plant, the soil and local traditions. Since 2019, the organic certification is reported on the labels.

Currently, the winery produces nine wines for a total of about 30,000 bottles per year. The constant goal is to maximize the potential of the vineyards, which extend over a total of about twenty hectares.
