Les Sirènes Philippines 75% chocolate from Chocolat Bonnat's Collection Particulière is a limited edition that pays tribute to the Japanese women who made its existence possible.

This chocolate has its roots in a historical episode in 1609, when a ship headed from New Spain (Mexico) to Spain, passing through the Philippines, was wrecked on the coast of Japan due to a storm. Local pearl divers saved the crew and the precious cargo of cocoa. The sailors, believing they had been rescued by mermaids, took the cocoa back to the Philippines, where it was cultivated.
