LAPIO HILLS

In the heart of Irpinia, where hills meander through woods and vineyards, lies Colli di Lapio di Romano Clelia, a family-run business founded in 1994 but rooted in a winemaking tradition passed down through generations. The winery is located in Arianello, a small hamlet in the municipality of Lapio, at 550 meters above sea level, in a region where the dry, breezy climate favors authentic, rigorous viticulture that respects the land.

Lapio is one of the iconic locations for Campania wine: the main production center for Fiano di Avellino DOCG and one of the few municipalities to boast a dual appellation: Fiano DOCG and Taurasi DOCG. Here, every plot tells a story of meticulous care and handed-down passion, where the Romano family personally oversees every stage of production, from vine growing to bottling, supported by expert professionals who respect the natural rhythms of the vines.

Colli di Lapio wines are made exclusively from grapes grown on estate-owned vineyards, carefully cultivated and selectively harvested. Production is intentionally limited to preserve the identity of each vintage and ensure the highest quality standards, an authentic expression of the Irpinia terroir.

Each bottle is the result of artisanal viticulture, where tradition, precision, and winemaking sensibility blend to create intense, elegant, and profound Fiano and Taurasi wines, capable of evolving over time and truly expressing the character of their terroir.

Perfect for those seeking local, long-lived wines deeply rooted in the most authentic Irpinia rural culture.
