Saint Remy Riesling Grand Cru Hengst d'Alsace 2021

The Riesling Grand Cru Hengst comes from an exceptional terroir, exposed to the south and south-east, located between 270 and 360 meters above sea level on a rather steep slope. The soil, composed mainly of Oligocene conglomerates and calcareous marls, gives the wine a solid and well-defined structure.

Soft and intensely aromatic, this Riesling releases spicy and enveloping notes. Broad on both the nose and palate, it pairs splendidly with foie gras and fruit-based desserts, such as tarts.

Aromas of ripe peaches, mango and mandarins, enriched by nuances of dried herbs and spices. On the palate, a vibrant acidity gives concentration and firmness, highlighting the mineral character of the flint. Fresh and citrusy, it closes with a long and persistent finish.
