Mancini Rive Sangiovese Marche IGT 2020
Shores 2020 it is the most intense and territorial interpretation of Sangiovese signed Fattoria Mancini , a historic company that has been cultivating vines for over five generations in the suggestive setting of the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park , between limestone hills and sea breezes , just outside Pesaro .
The grapes come from hilly vineyards facing north - east, at around 150 metres above sea level, on calcareous sandstone soils . with a high silty component . This unique, fresh and ventilated microclimate allows for a slow and complete maturation of the Sangiovese, enhancing the aromatic component and the acidic freshness of the vine.
The vinification involves prolonged maceration on the skins , spontaneous fermentation and aging in large wood , to preserve the most authentic and profound expression of the fruit. The result is a rich and layered wine , where the typical tension of Sangiovese is combined with mineral and balsamic notes . that tell the story of the territory.
In the glass it presents a deep ruby , on the nose it opens with ripe cherry , tobacco, black pepper , licorice and hints of Mediterranean scrub . On the palate it is structured but fine , with elegant tannins , excellent freshness and a long, salty and savoury finish .
A red with great character, perfect with grilled meats , game, first courses with ragù, mature cheeses .
