The history of the Montecivoli Farm dates back to the early 1900s, when it began as a sharecropping farm within the historic Tenuta Vivarelli Colonna estate, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma.

In 1992, two friends with a shared vision, Decio Oberholtzer and Francesco Prosperetti, acquired the property and embarked on an ambitious environmental redevelopment project. Thus began a virtuous reforestation journey across 15 hectares of land, with a clear focus on organic farming, respecting biodiversity and the natural ecosystem.

Between 1995 and 2000, Montecivoli took another step forward by planting 7 hectares of Morellino di Scansano DOCG vineyards, selecting native varieties such as Sangiovese and Alicante. The result is an authentic wine, embodying the aromas of the sun, earth, wind, and sea. Careful, artisanal, and non-invasive winemaking enhances the varietal characteristics of the grapes, resulting in an elegant Morellino di Scansano with intense color and full-bodied flavor.
