Nestled in the heart of the Val di Foro, between the Majella massif and the Adriatic Sea, the Piandimare Winery is located on the southern slope of the Abruzzo valley, surrounded by neat, lush vineyards. This privileged position, where the vineyards are all within walking distance of the winery, allows the freshly harvested grapes to be processed with the utmost care, stress-free and without long transport routes.
The surrounding area is a true natural amphitheater: sunny, well-ventilated slopes that benefit from a unique microclimate, where sea breezes mitigate the summer heat and ward off excess humidity. It is in this ideal setting that Montepulciano d'Abruzzo finds its maximum expression, producing intense, elegant wines deeply rooted in their terroir.
From its inception, the winery was designed to harmoniously integrate with its surroundings: the roof, with its distinctive wave shape, represents the three symbolic elements of the Abruzzo region that define the identity of Piandimare wine: the sea, the hills, and the movement of wine in the glass. Every architectural detail reflects the commitment of the seventy winemakers who passionately cultivate this corner of Abruzzo.
