60 km from Paris, Meaux is a city with a long history, closely linked to mustard since the time of Charlemagne, who encouraged its cultivation in the bishoprics. In the 18th century, production became industrialized and in 1771, some producers inherited the secret from the Canons, including JB Pommery, who consolidated the tradition of Moutarde de Meaux® .

In 1925, production entered the modern era, but Moutarde de Meaux® Pommery® has retained the original recipe and the unmistakable stoneware and natural cork packaging, preserving its quality and authenticity. The company Les Assaisonnements Briards has carefully guarded this artisanal process, positioning itself in the high-end market and exporting 75% of its production to over 40 countries around the world.
