Dagueneau Les Jardins de Babylone Sec 2017
Les Jardins de Babylone is a rare and extraordinary Jurançon Sec, born from the vision of Didier Dagueneau and made with rigorous biodynamic management and manual harvesting in the South-West of France.
This wine is made from all five white grape varieties permitted in the appellation: Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, Courbu, Lauzet and Camarelet, with the latter dominating the blend, giving it a distinctive personality.
The vinification follows the Blanc Fumé de Pouilly method, with aging in stainless steel and “cigar” barrels, a technique perfected by Didier Dagueneau and Guy Pautrat.
The result is a fascinating and complex wine, combining precision, freshness and minerality with a seductive fruity depth, offering a unique sensory experience.
