Dagueneau Buisson Renard Pouilly-Fumé 2022

Didier Dagueneau’s Buisson Renard is an exceptional Pouilly-Fumé from Saint-Andelain, in the heart of the Loire Valley, where Sauvignon Blanc is known as blanc fumé. The grapes, grown on soils rich in clay, limestone and flint, follow a rigorous biodynamic philosophy that excludes the use of chemicals, to preserve the purity of the terroir.

The name "Buisson Renard" means "fox bush" and takes its name from the vineyard of the same name. Didier Dagueneau, a disciple of Henri Jayer, revolutionized the world of wine with his innovative and nonconformist spirit, firmly believing that "the vineyard was a work of art".

After a manual selection of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation takes place in oak barrels, with subsequent refinement on the yeasts. The result is a deep, exciting and nuanced Sauvignon Blanc, which best expresses the beauty and complexity of the Loire Valley terroir.
