Rum Smith & Cross Traditional Jamaica Navy Strength 70 cl

This rum is a 100% Pot Still from the Hampden distillery, which is transferred to England for a short period of rest in casks before being bottled under the Smith & Cross brand.

The blend combines Wedderburn and Plummer rums, both distilled in pot stills: the former aged less than a year, the latter between 18 months and 3 years in American white oak barrels. The brief aging in a cooler climate helps preserve the fruity and mineral notes, slightly softening the bouquet and smoothing out the pot still power thanks to the interaction with the wood.

The result is a full-bodied, intense and enveloping rum, with a powerful but surprisingly balanced structure, which hits the nose more delicately than its 57% ABV might suggest.
