Chateau Musar Red Pere Et Fils Hochar 2017

The 2017 Hochar Père et Fils is the "family" wine of the legendary Château Musar, produced in the heart of Lebanon's Bekaa Valley. It's an iconic wine, born as a second selection of Musar's great reds, yet possessing a distinct personality, capable of expressing the Lebanese terroir in its purest form.

Obtained mainly from Cinsault, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, grown organically on calcareous and gravelly soils at over 1,000 metres above sea level, Hochar Père et Fils is vinified with spontaneous fermentations and aged in oak barrels, according to the artisanal philosophy of the Hochar family.

It displays a deep ruby ​​red color. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of cherry, plum, and ripe red fruits, enriched with spicy, balsamic notes and light smoky nuances. On the palate, it is harmonious and velvety, with soft tannins, great freshness, and a long, persistent finish.

Perfect paired with grilled red meats, lamb, spicy Mediterranean dishes, and mature cheeses, the 2018 Hochar Père et Fils is a versatile wine, capable of combining authenticity and great pleasure.
